Andrew F. Evankovich has thirteen years of experience as a school and municipal attorney. He has been involved with and advised school districts regarding various labor matters, including negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, student rights and responsibilities, special education matters, including due process hearings at the administrative level through the appellate courts and general school district contractual/business matters.
Mr. Evankovich has extensive experience in the area of delinquent tax collection (both Act 511 and real estate), which included the creation and supervision of delinquent real estate tax collection programs for various school districts.
Another practice area where Mr. Evankovich has significant experience is representing school districts on real estate tax assessment appeals and real estate tax exemption matters before the Board of Property Assessment, Appeals and Review, as well as the Court of Common Pleas. He also has experience regarding the various abatement programs that exist, such as the Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance Act (LERTA) and the New Home Construction Local Tax Abatement Act.
Mr. Evankovich also has been involved in the representation of Charter Schools.
