Amie A. Thompson is an associate with Andrews & Price and practices primarily in the School Law Section.
 
Prior to her employment with Andrews & Price, Ms. Thompson was employed as an associate attorney at the Law Office of Adrian N. Roe, P.C., where she represented individuals and their businesses in litigation involving insurance, real estate, employment discrimination, consumer protection, immigration, civil rights and constitutional law. 
 
As a 2010 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, Ms. Thompson participated as a Member of the Duquesne Law Review and Executive Editor of the Duquesne Business Law Journal. She published an article entitled, “Obesity as a Disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act and the Amendments’ Affect on Obesity Claims under the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act” 12 Duq. Bus. L.J. 259 (2010), and a case note entitled, “Courts May Vacate Grievance Arbitration Awards When Contrary to Public Policy: Westmoreland Intermediate Unit No. 7 v. Westmoreland Intermediate Unit No. 7 Classroom Assistants Educations Support Personnel Association,” 11 Duq. Bus. L.J. 109 (2009). She also served as a Research Assistant for Professor Susan Hascall and a Special Research Assistant to Dean Kenneth Gormley for the 2010 Supplement to “The Pennsylvania Constitution: A Treatise on Rights and Liberties.” During the summers she clerked for the Honorable Judge Gary Caruso of the Westmoreland County Court of Common Pleas and was employed as a summer associate at Thomson, Rhodes, & Cowie, P.C.
 
Ms. Thompson further participated as a Certified Legal Intern for the Duquesne Center for the Bill of Rights - Civil Rights Litigation Clinic, where she presented an Oral Argument before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  For her acomplishments, she was awarded the 2009-2010 Certificate for Meritorious Services Rendered.
 
Ms. Thompson is admitted to both the Pennsylvania Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is also a member of Pennsylvania, Allegheny County, and American Bar Associations.
